Seventeen-year-old Molly Jenner-Flukes is an outstanding role model and ambassador for women’s sport.
She always goes above and beyond to encourage those at her school and the community to participate.
Molly, who is in Sixth Form at Q3 Tipton, was nominated to be a Batonbearer by her teachers.
She plays netball for a local club where she has been a positive advocate to increase numbers participating in school and club level.
She has influenced a number of younger students and helped those struggling with self-esteem issues by sharing her own experiences of how to overcome those issues to continue competing in sport. She also uses this as a platform to raise awareness and money for mental health charities by taking part in sports events.
Molly said: “I am so excited to carry the baton for my local area. Sport is so important to me and to have the Commonwealth Games so close to home is such an important opportunity. I want to show that anyone can have an impact no matter who you are.”
