Jacob Hunter who is from Tipton and attends High Point Academy in Wednesbury has been nominated as a Batonbearer for always being kind, caring and thoughtful towards others.
Described as a model pupil, Jacob – who was diagnosed with autism in 2017, at the age of eight – has developed into a polite and well-mannered young man, after overcoming challenges being at a mainstream school.
He’s looking forward to a bright future at High Point Academy.
Jacob is also a very keen footballer in his spare time, playing for the Wolves Foundation every week, as goalkeeper and was named ‘player of the year’ last season by his fellow team mates.
He says he is excited to be a batonbearer but also a little nervous. Jacob celebrates his birthday in August, what a great early birthday present for him.
