It was fantastic to have national championship weightlifting and para powerlifting happening right here in Sandwell this summer!
The England Legacy Master’s Championships and Para Powerlifting Open was held at Oldbury Academy with Oldbury Weightlifting Club – an amazing opportunity for Sandwell and our Commonwealth Games Legacy status.
It’s the first time anywhere in the Midlands has hosted these championships, and with Healthy Sandwell we’re supporting the club (and Sandwell) to become a centre of excellence for weightlifting.
