Sandwell Crossroads – Caring for Carers

Several people got in touch to sing the praises of the wonderful team at Sandwell Crossroads – Caring for Carers.

This charitable care organisation began back in 1987 after the popular soap called Crossroads featured a story highlighting the struggle of caring for a family member.

The public response was overwhelming, which led to councils investing and helping to set up local Crossroads schemes.

Not only do Crossroads carers offer personalised care at home, enabling people with complex needs across Sandwell to remain in their own home for longer, their teams also help family carers across the borough, and beyond, to care for their loved ones.

The provide practical support, training and respite, improving the health and well-being of carers and those they care for.

Described as “true carers” who “worked throughout Covid always smiling, giving respect and support” – we know how valued you are by the people you care for and the carers you support.
