Many congratulations to His Worshipful the Mayor of Sandwell Councillor Bill Gavan, who has been awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year Honours List.
Councillor Gavan, who was one of the founders of Birmingham Pride, has been recognised for his contribution to political and public service, and to the LGBT+ community.
Councillor Gavan, who represents the Langley ward in Oldbury, was first elected to the council in 2014.
