West Bromwich-born actress Karen Johal has travelled the world working professionally in theatre, film and television.
Karen hails from Yew Tree and has performed on stage at the world renowned Carnegie Hall and also played the lead role of “Una” in David Harrower’s Tony award winning play – Blackbird.
Karen plays Noreen Khan, mum of Khaled, in Phoenix Rise, a story of six students who form an unbreakable bond as they navigate school life in the Midlands.
Phoenix Rise is their opportunity to rise from the ashes and prove that sometimes being an outsider means belonging to the best club of all.
