Author Paul publishes his first book

A West Bromwich author has published his first book – a tale of what happened when Santa decided to retire!

Paul Rogers, who works at Shireland Hall Primary School in Smethwick, has written A Christmas Without Santa.

Paul’s book tells the story of Santa disappearing – because he’s upset he didn’t receive any thank you letters last Christmas.

Christmas without Santa? Impossible! But Santa has disappeared. No-one has seen him exercising his reindeer or meeting children in department stores. Santa has just vanished. There is mass panic – for there can be no Christmas without Santa. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Santa – upset at not having received any ‘thank-you’ letters last Christmas – has decided to retire. Convinced that the world no longer needs him, Santa has set out to find a new life for himself and Mrs Claus. The question is – can anyone find Santa? What is he doing? And what, if anything, will persuade him to come out of retirement? Or – is this really the end of Christmas?
